Frequently asked questions
Who can join?
Anyone with an audience or clients who use Shopify: consultants, agencies, creators and freelancers. We review each application.
How much can I earn?
You earn 50% of the merchant's paid subscription for the first 6 months, then 25% for as long as they stay subscribed. Exact amounts depend on the plan they choose.
When do I get paid?
Commission becomes payable 30 days after the merchant's payment clears. We pay monthly by PayPal or bank transfer once you reach $50.
How does tracking work?
Your link sets a referral for 90 days. If the merchant installs within that window and starts a paid plan, the referral is yours. If two affiliates referred the same merchant, the most recent valid click wins.
Do free plans or trials earn commission?
No. Commission is paid on paid subscriptions only. Refunds and reversed payments do not earn commission.
Can I refer my own store?
No. Self-referrals are not eligible.
What are the rules in short?
Be honest about the app and disclose the relationship (for example: "I earn a commission if you subscribe through this link."). Don't bid on ShopStack or app names in search ads, don't create fake installs, don't spam, and don't offer rewards for App Store reviews. Full rules are in the Affiliate Terms.
